It's batshit crazy. When you think of those who do that, you have to

wonder if their real preference is to shout indignantly from the minority, rather than be in the majority and have to come up with practical solutions.

The hope is that the ultimate nominee in 2020 will not be one of those, but no matter who it is, the Trump side of the equation will try to make the label stick. Which is a dumbass opening left by that part of the party.
